The Reddit Fountainpen community have done it again. Another great ink created with a great name too – Writer’s Blood.
Nine inks were voted on but it finally came down to option 07. For the full Smörgåsbord of colours click here. But this year, the naming has been a full on fight to the death! the Reddit feed has been red hot! In hindsight, maybe the initial survey was a little misleading in the search for a colour type. Black Cherry was used as a project name only and NOT intended as a definitive name although it did get through to the final three. I personally wanted Raven’s Blood but I’m more than happy to see Writer’s Blood as the winner. It’s certainly appropriate on so many levels.
It’s a fabulous deep colour red that writes almost black but it does have some shading and the colours that are released with the addition of water on a wetted paper surface, are just lovely.
