Cult Pens Diamine Inks Test

CP-Diamines

I sourced these Cult Pen Diamines from Vijay at Stationery Shop. He has an amazing collection of inks (circa 700 and counting). He’s based up in Edinburgh and supplies sample vials of ALL his stock at very good prices. He hasn’t got a website but you can email him at: stationeryshop.scotland@gmail.com.

And now for the test – there’s something about these I love. Deep and dark – they all have a glorious sheen when used heavily but the real bonus is when you add water, they grade out and still remain vibrant. Responding gorgeously to bleach in the mid tone ranges, you really can have your cake and eat it with these. The tonal range and colour range is just superb! And if you don’t believe me check out the test art.

This is an ink painting of a photo I took of Della Collins while at Brighton Poly. She was way ahead of of her time! In fact, Boy George was sniffing about Brighton looking for inspiration at this time and I’d say he spotted Della for sure! Just saying. And the Deep Dark Purple is just…. Buy them all! What’s not to like.

As usual, the art has all been created on Bockingford Watercolour Paper.
