Ferris Wheel Press February-August Inks

Thanks once again to Ferris Wheel Press for sending me another six inks to swatch test.

Ferris Wheel Press is a design and stationery company based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, and have been making fine stationery for over ten years. Of significant interest to me is that this is the first ink producer that is offering the consumer an ‘experience’. It’s not just the ink that’s the hero here – the bottle and printed box are all equally as important as the stories behind each individual ink. And here we have another 5 shimmers and a standard ink to savour.

Main

The inks supplied are:

Poison Envy is from the Once Upon a Time collection and part of the broader FerriTales range – based around the character of the Evil Queen in the Snow White story. This is a deep purple with a duochrome green and pink shimmer and a metallic green sheen. Reacts to bleach as a neon blue.

Song of Scarlet is from the Once Upon a Time collection and part of the broader FerriTales range – based around the Pied Piper of Hamelin theme. This is a scarlet red with a blue shimmer and a green sheen. Reacts to bleach with a neon gold. Subtle chromo with salmon pinks is also noticeable.

Hampton Harbour Sage is inspired by the quaint villages and harbours of the Eastern Seaboard. This is a Cologne bridge green with subtle chromo and a silver shimmer.

Cloak and Forest is from the Once Upon a Time collection and part of the broader FerriTales range – based around the Little Red Riding Hood theme. This is a forest green with a deep red metallic sheen and a silver shimmer. With subtle chromo and a gold reaction to bleach.

The Fluttering Heart is inspired by the concept of love. This is a champagne pink with a silver shimmer and a gold reaction to bleach.

Malibu Blush is inspired by the Californian beach life. This is a vibrant coral pink with a dramatic neon white reaction to bleach.

As you’ll see below, these are lovely inks with stacks of character:
