Dominant Industry Standard Ink Swatch Tests

Kindly sent to me by Anja from Papier und Stift, here are eighteen standard inks created by Dominant Industry – a relatively new ink manufacturer from Paju in South Korea who have made a name for themselves by creating colours with a focus on nature and seasons.

Their inks are divided into two ranges – standard and pearl – and available in their distinctive tear drop shaped glass bottle with a dust bag and pipette all tastefully packaged inside a brown card box with a white branded label.

Dominant standard inks

Dominant Industry Standard Inks featured: Royal Azalea, Garnet, Romania Red, Maple, Earl Grey Tea, Citrus Yellow, Leaf Green, Forest, Tsavorite, Lake, Glacier, Dominant Blue, Periwinkle Blue, Manschurian Violet, Lungo, Winter Wood, Base Black and Downpour.

I have to admit, these look great in a circular fan – what do you think?

I am very impressed with the quality of inks coming out of South Korea. They are all of a fabulous quality, vivid, beautifully packaged and sensibly priced. And there are several here that draw my eye: Maple – looks fabulous with a neon reaction to bleach; Earl Gray Tea – just so vibrant; Glacier – subtle and mysterious looking chromo with a neon reaction to bleach; Periwinkle Blue – just lovely; Lungo – lovely reaction to bleach; and, Winter Wood – a neon pink reaction to bleach.

Sheens and shimmers may well be all the rage right now, but take the time to look a little deeper and there are plenty of standard inks with just as much visual magic to them.
