Ñ-MEDITERRANEO ink exclusives

I was recently contacted by Maria from the Spanish ink platform Inkspiration. She and four other members have been working with Máté Bikfalvi of Pennonia to create three ink exclusives.

Badged under the brand name Ñ-Mediterráneo the three inks have been inspired by the ocean and comprise of three colours and are named: Posidonia, Flabellina and Ermitaño.

All of the colours are bright and vivid with good tonal ranges. The deep teal and purple both reveal subtle chromatic behaviours and all show a dramatic neon reaction to bleach.

These are lovely fountain pen inks. Unsurprisingly, the limited edition is currently sold out but do keep an eye on this group. They may re release the inks and hopefully with a few more additions too.

All tests on Bockingford Rough 200lb watercolour paper, Seawhite cartridge paper and Rhodia paper with handwriting and abstract lettering using a Noodler’s Creeper pen and automatic pen.

For further information you can find Maria on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/inks.inspiration or visit the website: https://www.inksinspiration.com/mediterraneo. Máté Bikfalvi is a very accomplished ink maker and I have reviewed his inks previously. Click here for more.

AND HEY! If you’re interested to know more about how to use fountain pen inks in more creative ways – whether it’s simply to observe their chromatic behaviours, or, to recreate one of my swatch cards, or, to learn how to use them in watercolour painting, illustration and calligraphy, why not check out my online course ?
