If you do one thing this weekend – get hold of a bottle – or a sample – of Herbin 1798 – Amethyste de l’aural. It’s a silky smooth, rich purple with silver glitter and just look at that reaction with bleach! The abstract alphabet was created with a 6mm automatic pen on cartridge paper. The ink just wants to play. An absolute delight! Well done Herbin! I’ll be demonstrating my abstract calligraphy, amongst other things, at the workshop on 23rd September. Come along. Details below:
