Here is my third batch of 10 bleach swatch tested Private Reserve inks in the blacks and greens range.
Velvet Black – A rich black with deep purple greys revealed when blended with water. A muted reaction with bleach turning a dull gold.
Ultra Black – A dark black with deep purple greys revealed when blended with water. No reaction with bleach.
Grey Flannel – A deep dark grey with edges of bright turquoise revealed when blended with water. A great reaction with bleach turning a white neon gold.
Ebony Blue – A deep dark teal blue graduating evenly when blended with water. A muted reaction with bleach. Good sheen evident.
Cadillac Green – A mid blue/green graduating evenly to a dull turquoise when blended with water. A muted reaction with bleach.
Blue Suede – A dull turquoise/green graduating evenly to a dull turquoise when blended with water. A great reaction with bleach turning a white neon gold. Dark sheen evident.
DC Supershow Green – A mid tone grass green with edges of bright turquoise when blended with water. A reaction with bleach turning a white gold. Dark sheen evident.
Sherwood Green – A dark green with edges of turquoise when blended with water. A muted reaction with bleach.
Spearmint Green – A bright green with edges of bright turquoise when blended with water. A muted reaction with bleach.
Avocado – A deep dark green with hints of olive and turquoise edging when blended with water. A dull reaction with bleach.
The Grey Flannel does attract my attention and I may well be tempted to push a little further. It’s similar to the Caran d’Ache Infinite Grey but with a greater tonal range. Nice.

All tests on Bockingford 200lb watercolour paper using a dip pen with titanium zebra G flex nib for the bleach work and a Noodler’s Ahab for the ink work.
