I notice in the recent UK Art journals that there are several features on the subject of tone. Using only greys to give pictures a greater sense of depth. Well here’s a fountain pen ink that’ll give you this and a lot more – Caran d’Ache Infinite Grey. I mentioned that I’d give this a go after the testing and I’m pleased with the result. Not only is it a really lovely ink to paint with wet in wet, bleeding out subtle red hues and a gorgeous light blue, but it’s dark enough to give you that all important depth of tone! How can you not like this? Once again it’s a case of ‘less is more’ and the fountain pen inks triumph once again!
