Ferris Wheel Press swatch testing Autumn 2025-Winter 2026

Ferris Wheel Press (FWP) is a design and stationery company based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, and have been creating high-end stationery and fountain pen inks for more than ten years.

Just over three years ago I signed up to become a FWP Creative Ambassador with the deal being: I get my blog featured on their Creative Ambassador webpage; get sent a couple of bottles of ink each month which I then post and blog about; and, enjoy the added benefit of receiving a small commission should anyone buy product from my link(s). They do a great job promoting fountain pen inks as a creative medium and I’m proud to be an ambassador for them.

Here are nine recent swatch tests spanning Autumn 2025 to March 2026.

Embers of Time is a deep grey ink with gorgeous chromatography revealing salmon pinks, greys and turquoises along with and a stunning rose gold shimmer. The reaction to bleach is a muted electric blue. A wonderful creation and one of my new favourites.

Rose at Dawn is an eye catching dusty vermilion ink with fabulous shading qualities and a huge gold shimmer. Great reaction to bleach too.

Eightfold Fortune is a Chinese New Year exclusive bright red ink with dramatic shading and a generous champagne shimmer. Not a bad reaction to bleach either.

The Twilight Symphony is a deep purple pigment ink with some subtle chromatic behaviours and a green blue shimmer. As it is a pigment ink, and possibly FWP’s first, it dries water and agent resistant so you can use calligraphy inks to write or pattern on top of it. Gorgeous!

Furry Frostbites is a beautiful deep indigo shading ink with a blue shimmer and a gold reaction to bleach. Very nice!

Skies of Uproar is a green calydon ink with green and turquoise chromatography. There is a sharp reaction to bleach and a very tasteful champagne shimmer.

Citadel Dust is a zesty deep olive with a rose gold shimmer and fabulous yellow and green chromatography. A good reaction to bleach too.

Porcelain Past is a sensitive lilac grey standard ink with pink and turquoise chromatography. A fabulous neon reaction to bleach too.

Highland Smoke is a dark sepia grey standard ink with a fantastic tonal range, subtle chromatography and a beautiful reaction to bleach turning neon white and green in the darker areas. A great ink to paint with!
