Introducing Arthur Job and Ooh Betty’s – two more Diamine exclusives produced for online UK stationers Art from the Heart which have just been released.

The bottom alphabet is a blend of the 2 inks with over writing using bleach.
Ooh Betty’s, named after a tea shop in Harrogate, is a classic Diamine yellow ochre shading ink with beautiful nuanced chromo action revealing greens, yellows and cool greys and a pronounced reaction to bleach.
Arthur Job is a concentrated purple shimmer sheen ink with a yellow sheen and a rose gold shimmer. There is also decent chromo action here with pinks and cool greys and a bleach gold reaction in the lesser ink concentrated areas.

Whether diluting with water or using as is, when blended together, the visual effects are just glorious! These both get the thumbs up from me. For further details and to get hold of some, check out the Art from the Heart website. Click here.
Tests conducted on Bockingford 200lb rough, Seawhite Cartridge, Rhodia Dot Matrix and Tomoe River papers using a Noodler’s Creeper pen and an automatic pen.
HEY! If you’re interested to know more about how to use fountain pen inks in more creative ways – whether it’s simply to observe their chromatic behaviours, or, to recreate one of my swatch cards, or, to learn how to use them in watercolour painting, illustration and calligraphy, why not check out my online course or, even better, sign up for a workshop?
